This is a continuation of my thoughts on abortion from a Christian perspective in more recent times.
There Is Always Hope

3-1-21 You are not alone. When you experience an unplanned pregnancy, it is natural to feel vulnerable, insecure, burdened, or fearful, especially if you are young and un-married. You know that time is not on your side, making you feel pressured, which can cause you to make the irrational and hasty choice of leaving your soul behind by having an abortion to solve your problem. Many women who have chosen to abort their child have deep regret for doing so. Some have suffered physical damage and many suffer from psychological damage.1 These consequences may have been overlooked when they made their decision to abort; and because abortion facts seem so controversial and polarized, and it is a socially acceptable thing to do by worldly standards since it is legalized, it was easy to believe what they wanted to believe for convenience sake.
It is unfortunate that the message of hope for women in this circumstance is not the popular song of the day. Nevertheless it does exist, and it is getting progressively louder. Various women’s organizations and pregnancy centers have been active in seeing that all women can have all the support they need to be cared for in every stage of their pregnancy and after birth care, whether she is homeless, or a teenager who would need to live in a maternity home for women, or a college student concerned with continuing her education. It is amazing to see the lengths people have gone to in order to give hope and encouragement to women who are in desperate need of it. All lives matter to them, that is why they feel it is so important to ensure that a woman be informed with accurate information and all of her options before she does something she may regret.

9-11-21 The following poem was written by a young teenager.

Last Words
When my mom found out she was to have me, I sensed she did not want this to be.
Feelings of much anger and guilt up inside her were built.
Not once did I feel her smile gleam, what does this tragic feeling mean?
Every night she cries her eyes out, I think it was me she was crying about.
Then a terrible thought came into my head as she lay, sleeping in bed.
Could the real truth be that my mom does not love and want me?
Mom, I’m not just a blob of tissue like you read in that magazine issue.
Though I now don’t look exactly like you, I have arms, legs, feelings, and a heartbeat, too.
That morning she cried as she talked on the phone, and she chewed her nails right down to the bone.
She wrote on a piece of paper a time and a date, reassuring the nurse on the other end she wouldn’t be late.
When the time came near for us to go, her feelings for me started to show.
She said, “I made a mistake in having you, but the doctor said it would be quickly through.
You must understand that I love you and care, but raising a child is more than I could bare.”
As she drove to that horrible place, then I realized I’d never see my mom’s face.
And as she signed the papers, I drew my last breath and said “Goodbye, Mom, I wish we could have met.”

Light the Darkness

3-12-21 It’s time that abortion clinics be held accountable for their negligence of counseling women who have un-wanted pregnancies by not informing them of all the facts concerning their circumstance. It is not right to take advantage of her vulnerability for the sake of “women’s rights” while ignoring the impact abortion can have on her life. Not all women go on with their happy lives after exercising their right to have an abortion.1
Using the label of abortion to describe the extraction of her fetus from her womb somehow is presumed to have no effect on a woman’s mental health, but when she has a miscarriage, she most likely will experience deep remorse. When her baby is wanted, the mother knows
undeniably it is a living being that has ceased to live. When the baby is un-wanted, she wants to deny this, thinking it will remedy her inconvenient circumstance. But evidence shows the damaging consequence of overlooking the personal effect of having the freedom to make an intellectual decision concerning her pregnancy while ignoring the inherent knowledge that abortion ends the life of her baby even if she thinks its life was only a “potential” life.
There is more to having an abortion than simply exercising the right to do what you want with your body, and many women are finding out too late about how it can affect their soul. The truth is, many women have found that by denying the wound abortion has left on their heart and soul, they are denying themselves the natural grieving process one naturally goes through when they experience the death of a loved one.2 This can have a damaging effect on her mental health in varying degrees. How can the pro-choice movement claim to care about women when they neglect to fully inform them of all of their options with their pregnancy and all of the provisions to see them through to full term and all of the possible consequences of abortion? That is as callous as signing up a person in the army, and mentally preparing them for war with the incentive of being heroes but neglecting to prepare them for the effect that taking the life of another human being will have on their mental health, even if it is the enemy who would otherwise have taken their life.
The pro-choice movement is making a big mess of a woman’s all-around well-being in the name of her having personal rights. Fortunately there are plenty of people who are not waiting around for the government to address this concern and are reaching out to restore the discarded souls of these women who were left by the wayside the moment they were neglected to be fully and compassionately informed of all of their options of getting help and support with their un-wanted pregnancy.
Christians know that the government cannot heal a damaged human soul; the best psychology in the world can only put a Band-Aid on the wound. I don’t ever expect the government to count the cost of the error of their ways, but at least by doing our part by stepping up and doing the right thing, it will expose their inadequacies and put them to shame. We can expose the darkness by being the light.
Notes
1. “A woman’s consent for an abortion cannot be informed without the provision of adequate and appropriate information regarding the possible risks and benefits to her physical and mental health from this procedure, as well as informing her of the comparative risks and benefits of keeping or placing her child. Nor can her decision be truly informed if her decision is not her own, i.e., fully voluntary and without coercion or pressure.
… When women are not provided adequate or sufficient information in pre-abortion screening they are more likely to suffer adverse emotional consequences from their decision to terminate their pregnancy. When women are not provided professional counseling that includes full exploration of their decision options, pressure/coercion, risks and benefits of each, exploration of risk factors and focus on individual risk factors relevant to them, examination of past pregnancies and psychosocial history, and be afforded sufficient time and respect to do so, then they receive unprofessional and substandard counseling which is injurious to women’s mental health. The deficiencies of current pre-abortion counseling are well known and require remediation.”

2. “The Grieving that follows an abortion is similar to the grief of a woman who has had a miscarriage. Both experience stages of denial, anger, depression, and acceptance. Both experience guilt, but the source of their guilt is not the same. Women who have had a miscarriage feel guilty because they don’t know what role they played in their child’s death. Women who choose abortion feel guilty because they do know what part the played in their child’s death.” – Forgiven and Set Free by Linda Cochrane, pg. 15-16
River Of Tears

3-8-21 When you have come to realize that having an abortion was wrong and begin to feel remorse, the way to healing will come when you cry over your abortion for the right reasons. It is important to separate our emotions (that stem from self-victimization) from the facts (God’s truth about our fallen condition and His remedy).
Make a list of exactly what upsets you. Here are some possibilities along with a Biblical response:
| You ended the life of an innocent child. | Their life on earth was deprived, but their eternal life is not. Did their life serve no purpose? Does not the death of an innocent life speak of martyrdom? |
| You ended the life of your child in a horrific way. | This is a rude awakening to the depth of how deceived we are. We are so deeply fallen and blinded to our sinful nature that is in rebellion towards God. If you think about it, we were deceived to abort ourselves from God through the initial rebellion of Adam and Eve; and the death valley we now live in as a result of the fall, and the potential evil actions we are capable of acting out/or have become the victim of testifies of the horror of what life is like apart from being dependent on God and worshiping Him alone. |
| You denied your maternal instincts, you gave into the lie, making you feel foolish and selfish and ashamed. | This is natural behavior of the fallen condition, to be vulnerable to worldly wisdom if you are not relying on the wisdom of God. But you can be free from the error of your ways from now on by receiving new life from being filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. |
| You fear punishment and rejection from God. | This can result in self-punishment, which is a result of not understanding the full Gospel of God’s unconditional love. The Bible promises that “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32), and “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love”(1 John 4:18). |
Once you have processed through grief over your abortion, it is natural to go through a stage of being angry. Here are a few reasons you may be angry, with a Biblical response for those who understand the message of the Gospel:
| Angry that you did what was wrong intentionally (though in ignorance of the full knowledge of God). | You are forgiven and now understand the nature of our fallen condition. We can learn from our mistakes and repent, become free to approach God and worship Him with a clear conscience in the newness of life He has granted us. |
| Angry that you were deceived to sin against God by other people. | You are forgiven and are no longer spiritually blind. You understand the differing values between the world system (that is dependent on the wisdom of man in the fallen nature) and Gods kingdom, so that you can now walk in truth. |
| You are angry at Satan for deceiving you. | That is his job, his nature, his expertise. He will even appear as an angel of light to deceive those who are ignorant of the full knowledge of God (2 Cor. 11:14). Now we are to watch and pray, and learn of the ways of God to render the devil’s schemes powerless against us (Lk. 21:26; Eph. 6:10-20). |
| You are angry at God for allowing Satan to deceive you. | God’s door was (is) always wide open. Learn about the necessity of God giving us free-will; about the preparation of the Lamb of God before the foundation of the world in expectation of our downfall; and the defeat and destiny of Satan. |
Once you understand our fallen nature and that we are forgiven by God, you will be able to love others as yourself, you will be able to forgive all who were involved in your decision to have an abortion (including yourself) because you realize you are no better than anyone else in God’s eyes, we are all imperfect. “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Rom. 3:23). Our fallen nature is the very lifestyle of death, where the experience of pain is inevitable. Fortunately, we no longer have to be vulnerable to deception; we can become righteous in Christ and be guided in truth and disciplined in the will of God by receiving the Holy Spirit. You can learn to forgive others in love the same way you received the forgiveness of God out of His love for you.
Another Side of the Abortion Debate

4-1-16, updated 2-2-21 A person who is pro-life cannot keep silent in defense for the unborn.
A person who is pro-choice cannot keep silent in defense of their right to do what they want with their bodies.
These two stances are irreconcilable, and they always will be.
Legal Abortion – No Hiding the Truth
If abortion remains legal, in favor of pro-choice, then we are deceiving society with a lie about the facts of life and how it begins, and even if that were to be accepted as truth, they downplay or don’t even consider the inevitable emotional damage that occurs during post-abortion. Unless you are a robot, you would instinctively know that terminating the life of the living fetus growing inside your womb is to go against your maternal instincts. No matter how reasonable a woman’s excuses may be for wanting an abortion, she will not erase the conviction she is sure to sense once the abortion has occurred, that she was responsible for ending the life of her child. Truth is truth, and facts are facts and they cannot be denied.
Pain is Inevitable
A woman may think her child is better off by not being brought into an undesirable living situation and choose to have an abortion, which may cause her to experience emotional pain. She may think she is better off having an abortion for the convenience of removing the burden of the responsibilities of raising a child, which will give her a false sense of relief. 1
But in most cases (excluding therapeutic abortion) there is no legitimate excuse or reason why a mother cannot bring her child to full term and give it up for adoption if she is not able to raise her child herself. This may cause her emotional pain as well, but no matter what choices are made from an unwanted pregnancy, pain is inevitable. A woman will either deny this subconsciously as a shield from guilt, or her heart will over-ride her denial, and she will realize the truth and experience deep remorse. Both responses can have damaging effects on her mental health, but by choosing to go full-term she would not have to deal with the guilt of ending the life of her unborn child.

All Things Considered Based On Facts
If the legislators gave equal attention to the stories of women who regret having had an abortion, they would be able to judge more fairly about the right thing to do. Illegalized abortion has proven to be fatal for women in the past, something we should be very concerned about; but is not the emotional well-being of the woman just as important as her “reproductive rights?”
“However, there is even greater cause to be concerned. Abortion does not kill only children; it also kills women. Women have died from both legal and illegal abortions. Moreover, over 347 women have died from supposedly “safe and legal” abortions. For the most part, abortions today are medically “safe” for women. But pop culture safety statistics leave out several important facts. First, there is serious psychological trauma involved in abortion that is not always reflected in statistics. Many women who have had abortions say they regret them and suffer from Post-Abortion Syndrome (which can include substance abuse, suicidal thoughts or actions, depression, and other harms).” 2
“While Planned Parenthood and other abortion vendors and advocates do not recognize Post-Abortion Syndrome (PAS) as a valid condition, Post-Abortion Syndrome (or “After Abortion Grief”) has been recognized by many psychologists and doctors. The honesty of these medical professionals helps validate the negative ramifications thousands of women feel after having an abortion.” 3

There is No Denying the Most Important Truth
What are the pro-choice people doing about women who are traumatized post-abortion? How can you console a woman who now feels the emotional impact of terminating the life of her child? Whatever her excuses may have been, whether they were well meaning or selfish, she has to now deal with the responsibility of ending the life of her child, and that decision will mentally and emotionally affect her for the rest of her life. Why are clinics against showing women an ultrasound of their baby, a method that has been known to change their mind and keep the baby? Because it would be disturbing to them to see that. So that is the same thing as telling them to deny the truth about abortion, and that the clinic is not responsible for their emotional health afterwards.
Penalizing the Crime of Illegal Abortion
If abortion becomes illegal, the issue arises as to how to go about penalizing a woman who has had an abortion, if at all. During the town Hall meeting with Donald Trump on March 30, 2016, Chris Matthews asked him: “Will you punish a woman who has an illegal abortion?” Trump answered by saying “The answer is that there has to be some form of punishment,” and that he had not yet determined what that would be. He later said that a woman should not be punished but the person who performs abortion should be.4
It’s more complicated than a simple yes or no answer.
If he said “no,” then he is saying it’s ok to break the law in this case, and that no one has the right to tell her what to do with her body.
If he said “yes,” then he’s giving her due penalty for breaking the law. If it’s a law, then we are saying abortion is wrong, and the voice of the unborn matters.
Separating Church and State
It is not the place of the pro-life movement to decide legal matters. It is the responsibility of legislators to determine the laws.5 The president is responsible for being the leader of the United States, he is not called to be the Pope. The United States is about establishing equality for all, and that includes believers in God and non-believers. We may be one nation “under God,” but not all people believe that, and they deserve equal rights. Jesus said His kingdom is not of this world, and He never pressured anyone to enter it. A president may be Christian, and Christians know that Christianity is the only way of establishing everlasting unity, equality, justice and peace; but what about the rights of non-believers? Christians are in the world, not of it. No matter who establishes the laws, if they are immoral according to God’s standards, that cannot stop a Christian from living as a citizen of God’s kingdom, of being a light in the darkness. God has given people the option to reject Him, and these people make up the world system as we know it, immoral in many ways and perpetually in a trial and error status. There will come a day when they will face the judgment seat of God and will have to give an answer for their actions, whether they like it or not.
Justice for All Based on Facts
Every woman has a right to do what she wants with her body, and that includes the potential woman existing inside her womb. Ideally, since it involves the life of another person, a woman should have a right to do what she wants with her body up to the point of consensual intercourse. If she then has an unwanted pregnancy, that right is now divided among two people. Because an unborn baby is dependent on its mother’s womb to survive, should it have no voice, no rights of its own? Have we eliminated the word “responsibility” from our vocabulary?

Why do you want to throw women in jail if they have abortions?
The pro-life movement does not want to put women in jail for having abortions. Pro-lifers consider women to be victimized by abortion, whether they are legal or illegal. Laws against abortion would impose penalties on the abortionist, not the woman. According to the pro-choice writer Rachel Benson Gold, when abortion was still illegal, “women were rarely convicted for having an abortion; instead, the threat of prosecution often was used to encourage them to testify against the provider.” Likewise, in states with laws restricting abortion today, penalties are imposed on the abortion practitioner, not the woman.
In fact, it was early feminists like Susan B. Anthony who fought to criminalize abortion in the 19th century. They recognized that abortion exploited and harmed women, so they called for new laws that would prevent doctors and other practitioners from performing abortions. If the law of the land on abortion were to change in the future, it would again be the abortion practitioners who would face penalties—not the women on whom they performed abortions.

Put Your Coat Hangers Away
There is no need to re-live the past. Technology, medicine, and charitable contributions to meet all needs of people have advanced above and beyond since the 1960’s. Although it’s been known that women have died from trying to perform their own abortions, there should be no reason for this now, with all the help and support and other options available to see a woman through with her pregnancy to full term. If abortion is illegal, and sufficient help is provided for her, then she would be placing herself in danger by her own choice. If abortion becomes illegal, I’m sure the pro-care people will step up and reach out and do everything they can to help
women in their unwanted pregnancy situation, as pro-lifers have been doing all along. Pro-care people consist of those who are pro-life and pro-choice, because in spite of their differences, they still care for the welfare of the woman and child. People are amazing and have proven themselves to be resourceful when it comes to pulling together to assist in helping others in need, such as saving the whales, helping the homeless, aiding in disaster relief, or providing animal rescue shelters, just to name a few.
“FQHCs (Federally Qualified Health Centers) serves more than 25 million people each year versus Planned Parenthood, who served 2.4 million in 2019.
Pregnancy Resource Centers
- In 2017, pregnancy centers provided almost 2,000,000 people with free services, with estimated community cost savings of at least $161 million annually.
- 2,752 center locations nationwide provide vital services including medical services, parenting programs, and sexual risk avoidance education.
- More than 7 in 10 locations offer free ultrasounds (up 24 percent since 2010).
- 400,100 hours of free services were contributed by credentialed nurse sonographers and registered diagnostic medical sonographers in 2017.
- 100 mobile units with ultrasound are on the road to bring services to women out in the community.
- 30,000 contacts per month reach Heartbeat International’s Option Line hotline and email/chat lines.
- 67,400 volunteers serve pregnancy centers, including an estimated 7,500 medical professionals who freely give of their time and skills.
- Centers carried out 679,600 free pregnancy tests in 2017.
- 295,900 moms and dads attended parenting courses.
- 24,100 after-abortion support clients were seen in 2017 (services include support, counseling, and referral to professional help when appropriate for both women and men).
- More than 1 million students attended community-based sexual risk avoidance education presentations in 2017.
Better choices for women are usually right around the corner. Alternative women’s health options are on average less than five miles away from the nearest Planned Parenthood.” 8
“In reality, though, the pro-life movement cares very much about babies and their mothers, both before and after they’re born. That is why we have established a nationwide support system of pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) devoted to providing emotional and material support for women facing both untimely pregnancy and the demands of being a new parent. In fact, pregnancy care center newsletters regularly share pictures of children saved from abortion two or more years later, proof positive of ongoing positive relationships between PRCs and birth parents.” 9
No Exaggeration
There is also the concern that women’s lives will be in danger if abortion becomes illegal again, as they will have to resort to the dangers of “back-alley” abortions.10 The shocking facts11 that occurred to women seeking illegal abortion from the late 1800’s to 1973 must not be overlooked. It is unfortunate that the statistical facts on this matter are highly controversial, but it has been helpful that those who have once served the pro-choice agenda, both past and present, have come forth with the truth, including Norma McCorvey, anonymously named “Jane Roe” of the Roe v. Wade court case that legalized abortion. She was originally pro-choice, but later in life she was won over by the compassion of pro-lifers and tried to overturn her court case by making abortion illegal.12
Women’s Rights Gone Too Far
I understand the need for social equality, but what is exposed under the guise of woman’s rights seems to be the real motive to keep abortion legalized by certain groups on the left: a woman’s resentment towards men, in the name of sexism, whom she feels has an advantage over her in certain situations because he is made physically different from her; it is her vain attempt to change what cannot be changed, both physiologically and morally.
Physiologically, it’s not fair to them that because men are not capable of bearing children, they are free from this “burden.” If women are to be totally equal with men, then they would have to deny their physical differences in order to maintain that “equal” status, and the ultimate way to do that is to allow abortion on demand. Taking control of their uterus is their way of taking control over God’s natural design of women.

Morally, what has been deemed by God as to the relationship between a husband and wife, Gen. 3:16; and Eph. 5:22-24, cannot be denied. When God decrees something, it is a live, active standard to live by (e.g. “Judge and you will be judged,” Matt. 7:1-2; “Pride goes before destruction,
a haughty spirit before a fall.” Prov. 16:18). Unfortunately, God’s perfect standards that result in peace are subject to abuse. Oppression is inevitable; it is the prideful nature of our fallen condition that makes one have a sense of superiority, and a false sense of self-worth. Different ethnic groups suppress one another, siblings and children in the school yard suppress one another, the wealthy suppress the poor, etc. Men took advantage of their honorable role as headship by suppressing women, which naturally filled them with resentment and caused them to act in rebellion through various women’s movements throughout history. But as Genesis 3:16 states about a women’s unruly behavior, she is capable of instigating men to abuse their authority. Women are to honor their husbands as the head, not as masters, it is a visible demonstration of our invisible intimate relationship with God, depicted through His Son as the bridegroom and the Church as His bride.

Christian View vs. the World View
Christians have the advantage of understanding life from God, the Creator of life; but it’s important to be mindful of the big picture, looking at both sides of the battlefield when it comes to communicating with those who are spiritually blind. In the eyes of God, when the physical body retires, it does not mean the end of life, the soul still lives, and where it spends eternity is to be determined in the future. To end the life of another person is to disrespect God, for we were made in His image, but what does that matter to a non-believer? Christians are set apart from the world’s standards and are expected to respect life and be light and salt to those whose minds are darkened from His truth. Most women who have abortions don’t look at it as murdering their child. Do you hear what the voices of the worldly are saying on this issue? Since they can’t understand life as Christians do, can’t you understand their reasoning behind their emotions, why it is so polarized from the ways of God? No matter how many scientific facts surface about fetal development, the world is still going to solve this matter according to their own wisdom;17 how can we expect anything different from them?
Spiritual Realities
With such outstanding evidence and arguments against abortion, how can it be that it is not illegal today? We should take into consideration Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places” when dealing with all opposition we are faced with during this present age. This is the real reason why abortion exists and why it is so difficult to find common ground for its solution. When a child is aborted, we can at least have peace in knowing that their life is not ended eternally. Should we be more upset over the fetus that was not granted life on this earth by their mother, or for the mother who was granted life on earth but may never see the light of heaven, who is grossly spiritually blinded from seeing that she is disrespecting God, the giver of life? We can have greater success in this battle by addressing the root of the problem. How can we be more effective in helping women understand life from God’s perspective?
Conclusion
The world has its own system of running things. Although it may consist of morally minded people who are opposed to its ways, it is a power machine that cannot be reckoned with. There is no amount of morality that can trump its power. Their own kind will eat each other alive and succeed in manipulating its ever changing standards, but it will not tolerate the true morality of God. They clearly displayed this when they crucified God Himself, only because He allowed them, and that was so that He could make atonement for our sins; otherwise, He permits the world to run its course under the influence of its fallen nature at the cost of innocent lives.

In John 17:4 Jesus tells His Father “I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.” He came to seek and save the lost, and by glorifying His Father on the earth, He revealed to us a way of escaping the fallen world system and its power of death. During the present church age, His kingdom reigns in the hearts of His witnesses, conquering the world by living in faith in the Son of God, and are persecuted for doing so. In John 17:9 Jesus makes a request that implies that He is not interested in improving the world during the church age, “I pray for them, I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours.”
In John 17:14-19 Jesus talks about the great divide between the world and His chosen ones, v. 15, “I do not pray that you should take them out of the world, but that you should keep them from the evil one.” We are not called to improve this fallen world; but to declare the second coming of Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords. His first coming was as a Lamb who sacrificed His life for us. In the second coming He will come as a Lion, the conquering King.
If we follow the history of the abortion debate and observe the irreconcilable dichotomy of both sides, we can see how these spiritual truths are played out consistently up to this day, in spite of all evidence that proves the argument of the pro-life stance. The pro-choice people believe the quality of life, for the fetus and the mother, is of more importance than the sanctity of life. That is the more logical way to go, especially if they do not believe that we were created in the image of God. If they do not have faith in God, then they would have no fear in playing god by deciding the fate of any human being, born or unborn. To deny the sanctity of the unborn is their way of denying that God has anything to do with the creation of life.
“The anti-abortion response to reject as morally and theologically repugnant the contention that fetuses’ right to life depends upon their being “wanted,” upon their genetic or physical endowment, or upon how much it will cost their parents or society to rear them. Malcolm Muggeridge and others have effectively shown that the argument for quality of life over sanctity of life, which they view as diabolical, applies with equal force to those who have been born or have become “defective,” reminiscent of Hitler’s Nazi death camps. There is a “slippery slope,” the argument goes, from permissive abortion to active euthanasia, and our society’s law and public values appear to be moving rapidly in that direction.” 18
The devil is a murderer and a liar, and has never changed since the beginning, so we shouldn’t expect any better from the world view. It is unfortunate that those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, who are still spiritually blind, are vulnerable and victimized by the devil’s lies. But God is willing and able to bring restoration and healing in ways we can’t even imagine. As Christians, we are called to do our part to make a
difference in this sad narrative, and the most successful way to do that is by His Spirit. We should always be praying and seeking God for His wisdom, counsel, and divine intervention, and we want to always bring truth to light upon the darkened ways of this fallen world.19 But we should also be realistic when it comes to our expectations of the world’s limited way of understanding. Although God allows murder, He has given us a commandment against it and does not let any one get away with it, our conscience bears witness to that whether we are Christian or not. Murder is a choice, and God has given us the free will to choose, He does not force us to be righteous. There was no one protesting God in front of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil when Adam and Eve fell into the greatest deception of thinking life could be lived apart from dependence on Him, which resulted in the future of all humanity to be born into the fallen nature of physical and spiritual death, in need of a Savior. It seems like God was both pro-choice and pro-life.

If you read the full conversation between Chris Matthews and Donald Trump, it seems like he was trying to make a point similar to this, the inevitable separation between the church and state, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the world system.
Notes
1.“Researchers investigating post-abortion reactions report only one positive emotion: relief. This emotion is understandable- especially in light of the high degree of pressure women facing unplanned pregnancies feel to “get it over with.”(2) After these temporary feelings of relief, the woman may enter a period which psychiatrists identify as “paralysis,” or post-abortion “numbness.” (3) Like shell-shocked soldiers, these post-abortive women are unable to express or even feel their own emotions. Their focus is primarily on having survived the ordeal, and they may be (at least temporarily) out of touch with their feelings.”

“APART has been in the forefront of research on the psychological aftermath of induced abortion. In 2009, Drs. Catherine Coyle & Vincent Rue, in collaboration with Dr. Priscilla Coleman published the first research study on the population attributable mental health risks of abortion in the U.S. The study was published in the JOURNAL of PSYCHIATRIC RESEARCH (“Induced abortion and anxiety, mood, and substance abuse disorders: Isolating the effects of abortion in the National Comorbidity Survey,” Vol. 43: 770-776). This research, spearheaded by Dr. Coleman, reported: “Abortion was found to be related to an increased risk for a variety of mental health problems” including panic attacks, panic disorder, agoraphobia, PTSD, bipolar disorder, major depression (with and without hierarchy), and substance abuse disorders after statistical controls were instituted for a wide range of personal, situational, and demographic variables. Calculation of population attributable risks (incidence of women exposed to mental health problems who would not otherwise be if they had not elected abortion) was 4.3% to 16.6%.” www.standapart.org/research/

“Greg Koukl: Let’s figure out if whatever is in question is in fact immoral and then, given that it is immoral, what action do we take, what public policy needs to be in place, and what punishments if any need to be in place in light of that. Even though we can separate those two and encourage pro-lifers not to worry about the second because it takes a set of law-making skills we don’t know all have. But we can still make the case against abortion. Then, let the lawmakers who are skilled at that kind of thing sort out the appropriate consequences.”

For decades, pro-choice Americans have tried to paint the pro-life movement as misogynist, chauvinist, and otherwise fixated on curtailing the rights and freedoms of women. For decades, pro-lifers have patiently repeated that they have no desire to persecute or shame women. They simply want to protect the lives of the unborn.”

b) “We expect Standing With You to be an on-campus leader, setting the stage for campuses and communities to exemplify women’s empowerment through the resources they provide to pregnant and parenting students,” said National Supportive Services Director Camille Cisneros. “These key resources include free to low-cost on-campus childcare, family or non-traditional housing options, education and enforcement of Title IX specific to pregnancy, life-affirming options and community resources in campus health care centers, and on-campus resources like lactation rooms, maternity parking, diaper changing stations, and family study rooms, and our StandingwithYou.org website lists all of them.”
Title IX has existed since 1972 to provide women with protection against discrimination, yet enforcement has been lacking, or even non-existent, when it comes to pregnant and parenting students. Students for Life’s initiative works to empower women on campus by giving them equal access to education and connecting them with support within the community. Through Standing With You projects, pregnant and parenting students will know that they have rights and resources on and off campus to help them achieve their scholastic goals while moving forward in their pregnancies.”
… ““In Standing With You, Students for Life is ready to begin a new chapter of supportive services for mothers and their children, born and preborn, building on the already amazing track record established by the Pregnant on Campus initiative,” said Hawkins.
Over the course of the 2019-2020 school year, Students for Life’s Pregnant on Campus initiative collected over 418,500 diapers as well as other items like clothes, bottles, and much more; hosted 243 baby drives on high school and college campuses; raised more than $100,000 for pregnant and parenting students, including more than $41,940 for student scholarships; reported 1,812 hours volunteering; equipped 51 Students for Life groups to work with their school administrators to bring these resources directly to their campuses. The Pregnant on Campus initiative also helped 22 women considering abortion choose life for their children and their dreams.”

10. a) The following are paragraphs from a conversation transcribed on the Stand to Reason website:
“Greg Koukl: The point I’m making though is that doctors provide abortions, and if doctors were not providing abortions, there would be drastically fewer abortions. Illegalizing abortion conjures up a picture of women laying in an alley between two dumpsters and somebody using a coat hanger to do the job. But this isn’t what happened even before Roe v. Wade. It was by and large doctors that used their facilities to do illegal abortions before Roe v. Wade, but they were medically responsible abortions.
Alan Shlemon: Right, right. This is even according to Planned Parenthood’s own medical director Mary Calderone. She was the medical director in the 1950s and said prior to Roe v. Wade, prior to the legalization of abortion, that illegal abortion, for the most part, was a safe procedure and that they were done by physicians who are in good standing with their communities.”

b) “The primary reason pro-abortionists alleged that they wanted to reform or repeal abortion laws was that maternal health was at stake. However, the true primary objective for getting rid of abortion laws was far different. Pro-abortionists hoped to eliminate laws, not to defuse the danger of back-alley abortionists, but to codify existing practice in order to allow doctors to more easily obtain insurance and legal coverage. In other words, the great ‘reform or repeal’ effort was strictly a business move.
… Essentially, all Roe v. Wade did was move the back-alley abortion mills around to the front of the alley. Currently, about 1.5 million abortions are performed every year. Assuming that the procedure became three times as safe as it was before (remember that 90% of all illegal abortions were performed by doctors), twice as many women are dying of legal abortions now because the number of abortions increased seven fold after 1970.”

b) “Do you want to return to the days of “Back Alley” and “Coat Hanger” abortions?
The idea of widespread and dangerous “back alley” abortions prior to the nationwide legalization of abortion in 1973 is not supported by the facts. The medical director of Planned Parenthood wrote in 1960 that “90% of illegal abortions are presently being done by physicians.”
Likewise, the “coat hanger abortion” is a myth. In his 1979 book, Aborting America, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, co-founder of the National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws (NARAL) mentions one coat hanger abortion. However, Nathanson, who is now committedly pro-life, has publicly confessed to fabricating evidence in order to get abortion legalized. There is no hard evidence to support the performance of a single coat hanger abortion.
NARAL claimed that 1,000,000 illegal abortions were performed yearly, though they believed the actual number to be about 100,000. They claimed that 10,000 women died each year from illegal abortions, knowing that the actual number was a mere fraction of this.

“The real name of the woman anonymously named “Jane Roe” in Roe v. Wade is Norma McCorvey. In her lawsuit, she claimed to have become pregnant as the result of rape and argued that she should therefore be allowed to have an abortion, despite the laws against abortion in her home state of Texas. She gave birth to the child and placed her for adoption before the 1973 ruling legalized abortion. McCorvey worked in the pro-choice movement and for an abortion clinic for several years thereafter.
After publicly identifying herself as Jane Roe, McCorvey became friends with Rev. Flip Benham and other pro-lifers. Her book, Won By Love, recounts how the compassion pro-lifers showed to her brought her into the pro-life movement. McCorvey has admitted to the many fabrications in the Roe v. Wade case, including her claim to have been raped, and is now an outspoken pro-life advocate. In 2005 she asked the United States Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade on the basis of new evidence showing that abortion hurts women. She died in 2017.”

“Nathanson was co-founder of the National Association for the Repeal of the Abortion Laws (later known as NARAL), and he also committed thousands of abortions before he repented and became pro-life.
In the video below, filmed just before his death, Dr. Nathanson admitted responsibility for over 75,000 abortions, which he called “the greatest mistake of my life.” Nathanson admitted, “One of our strategies, in order to mislead the American public, was to deny what we knew to be true: that an abortion kills an existing human being. We denied that fact in an effort to mislead the American public and the courts of this land.”
Nathanson admitted in other publications that he his colleagues lied about the numbers of illegal abortions and inflated the number of women during from illegal abortions:
We aroused enough sympathy to sell our program of permissive abortion by fabricating the number of illegal abortions done annually in the U.S. The actual figure was approaching 100,000 but the figure we gave to the media repeatedly was 1,000,000. Repeating the big lie often enough convinces the public. The number of women dying from illegal abortions was around 200 – 250 annually. The figure constantly fed to the media was 10,000.”

“Since the United States Supreme Court Decision in 1973 (Roe vs. Wade), abortion on demand has ended the lives of millions of the unborn.36 The standard lines of justification for abortion in our society include the following:
- It is a woman’s right to do what she wishes with her own body. (The assumption, of course, is that nascent life is a non-human appendage of the woman’s body to do with as she chooses.)
- To legislate against abortion is to legislate morality. (The assumption is that morality either cannot or ought not be legislated.)
- Abortion is one among several acceptable methods of birth control and family planning. (The assumption is that as a method it is on the same moral level as any other method of birth control.)
- Abortion must not be restricted, so that the rights of women can be protected in cases of rape and/or in cases where birth defects are possible or probable. (The assumption is that the mother’s lifestyle should not be interrupted by events beyond her control.)
- A woman’s right to abortion is the only way to preserve equality between the sexes, since men are exempt from carrying a fetus to term. (The assumption is that equality means sameness.)
- Every child has the right to be wanted. Abortion is necessary to prevent children being born into homes where they are not wanted, and where, therefore, they are likely to be abused. (The assumption is that the only reasonable alternative to having an unwanted child is death to the fetus.)
It is true that the law cannot make people moral. However, to say that morality should not be legislated is to empty the law of its intrinsic definition, for law exists in the first place because certain actions are believed to be morally wrong, not merely inconvenient (1 Tim. 1:9-11). The real issue is the moral base undergirding the law. For Christians, morality is based upon the holy nature of God and the moral guidance in the Scriptures he has given. For secular society, morality is based upon tradition and public consensus, each of which are constantly shifting.”
36The Alan Guttmacher Institute report of 1990 plus Unofficial Statistics from 1992 put the toll in excess of 28 million abortions. By 2001, this number, already gargantuan, has multiplied exponentially.

Since then, I’ve run into numerous young people who have had a similiar experience.” He has become a born-again Christian and the director of Rock for Life, and believes he represents a new generation of Americans more likely to see abortion as the taking of human life than as the preservation of individual liberty. –Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer, Sunday, January 30, 2005

Understanding Abortion: From Mixed Feelings to Rational Thought by Stephen D. Schwarz, Kiki Latimer
Pro-life

7-16-20 We would be so much more effective in preventing abortion by converting people to the true meaning of Christianity.
We should always speak out against abortion. But to make it illegal is challenging. We have to pass through the right of the mother, the iron wall of “self,” before we can get her to see the rights of her unborn child who is dependent on her for survival. Even if it becomes illegal, women will still find a way to have the procedure done illegally.
From a Christian perspective, what makes abortion so wrong is that it is murder, which is an offense to God, for people are made in His image, and to murder someone is to say you have no respect for God. If you knew God and loved Him, you would respect Him and the life of yourself and others. So we can see how non-Christians may not define a fetus as a living human person, nor have any issues intellectually or morally with having it aborted. If they don’t believe in the sovereignty of God, then naturally they believe in their own sovereignty in which no one has a right to interfere with. The best we can hope for in making a difference in the abortion debate is to pray for all people to be converted to Christian beliefs so that they may respect life as God intended it and have hope for their future no matter how good or bad their living situation is, so that we can effectively avoid the slaughter of innocent lives, both the physical life of the baby and the spiritual life of the mother.
At the very moment of conception a living soul is created and will live on forever. The physical aspect of this created human being begins to develop inside the mother’s womb, and can be ended by abortion; but the soul lives on and one day she will have to answer to God and her child as to why she did them wrong.
Facing the Truth About Your Abortion

7-3-20 You may find that your moral conscience has become greatly disturbed from having an abortion. That is the undeniable evidence of God’s existence verifying that we were made in His image with the ability to know the difference between what is good, of His nature, and what is evil, of the devil’s nature. It reveals that the intuitive nature of our human spirit is capable of being aware of God’s moral standards. You have become sorry and remorseful for what you have done and in need of finding peace for your troubled conscience.
It is important that you realize that accusation and condemnation are of the devil (Rev. 12:9; Rom. 8:1). If that is what you are experiencing and you want to be free of oppression then turn to God who desires to heal you. You cannot erase what you have done, but you can find forgiveness with God. Out of love for His children who are suffering with guilt and shame, the Holy Spirit will bring conviction to our hearts (Jn. 16:7-11; 2 Cor. 3:17) so that we will be encouraged to face it, accept responsibility for it, then lay it down at the Lords feet (1 Pet. 5:2; Ps. 55:22; Matt. 11:28) and leave it there. He will lovingly guide you through the process of reckoning with how you could have done such a horrible thing of ending the life of your unborn child in such a tragic way. This is a rude awakening in many ways, but God can provide you with healing, reconciliation and restoration if you are willing to receive it. If you contact your local pregnancy center, they provide free post-abortion counseling and will be able to walk you through this difficult process with you. It is helpful to put aside any “religious,” idealism you may have about God based on Him being interpreted according to the wisdom of man, of what you know of Him based on tradition (Col. 2:8) and search to know Him personally for who He really is. Be assured that the Bible clearly states that Jesus did not come to condemn the world but to save it (Jn. 12:47).
Christianity is not all fluffy and trouble free. It is just the opposite. Our joy is in the Lord (Col. 1:10-11; 1 Pet. 1:8-9), yet He was tortured and suffered on the cross for our sins; what does that tell you about the way of man and the world we live in? How is it that you were ok with having an abortion but now see that it was wrong? What you may not have been aware of was the nature of our fallen condition (Eph. 2:1-3), which is to be self-reliant, to take matters into our own hands; and how worldly influence, which is mostly ungodly, enabled you to think that an abortion is the natural and acceptable thing to do when pregnancy is an inconvenience.

Our fallen condition, the way of the world, is inspired by the devil (1 Jn. 5:19); can you believe that now (1 Cor. 2:14)? It’s in the Bible, the very Word of God that testifies of His existence and explains our fallen condition and His plan of eternal salvation.
The peaceful, trouble-free life we long for is not on this side of heaven. The Lord tells us to follow Him (Matt. 16:24), to live by the power of the Holy Spirit (1 Jn. 3:24; Gal. 5:25), to continually die to the influence of our flesh (our fallen nature) (Gal. 5:16-17, 24), and expect to experience trials, tribulations and persecution because of it (Jn. 16:33; Rom. 5:3-5); for it testifies that the devil is real, and the devil will do everything he can to prevent you, a living testimony of God (by walking in the power of the Holy Spirit) from doing so (1 Pet. 5:8). As horrible as the sins we have committed are, we can only be healed when we face them and leave them at the foot of the cross. We are humbled by the extended offer of love and mercy and grace and forgiveness of God, and now we must put on the full armor of God (Eph. 6:13), stand in His authority and not let the devil get away with any more of his deceptive schemes (2 Cor. 2:11). The Lord will give you the grace to face the truth, to be restored and set free.
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” – John 8:36
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” – Romans 15:13
Pro-life/Pro-choice

3-26-20 Pro-life believes in protecting the life of an unborn child, even though it is dependent on its reluctant mother for survival. Everyone born and unborn has a right to life no matter what circumstance they are in, good or bad.
Pro-Choice disregards the rights of the life growing in a mother’s womb. Since it is dependent on the mother for survival, they have a right to give the fetus permission to do that or not. Since they have a right to do what they want with their body, no one can tell them what to do with it.
Notice the titles that each group has designated for themselves:
Pro-Life, and its opponent is named Pro-choice, not Pro-death.
Pro-Choice, and its opponent is named Pro-life, not Pro-bondage.
This is why the communication is cloudy and subject to mental manipulation and distortion of meaning that over shadows the truth.
How do we solve this problem?
How can the Pro-life group address this issue while respecting the rights of the mother as well as the child?
How can the Pro-choice group address this issue while respecting the right of the life of their child growing inside their womb?
It’s pretty hard to argue that every life has a right to life, even if it is dependent on its mother to fully develop so that it can survive without her when born. By forcing her to carry it to full term is infringing on her right to do what she wants with her body, but aborting is also infringing on the rights of the fetus to be brought to full-term. Why isn’t the Pro-choice group concerned with the rights of the unborn child as well?
Realistically we live in an imperfect world where we lack discipline and self-control and responsibility, especially when it comes to having sex. That doesn’t mean there shouldn’t be a set standard to abide by. It’s illegal to steal but people will still do it, and when they are caught, guess what? They are disciplined.
The facts of life, the facts of nature are what they are and we can’t change that. Life begins at the moment of conception and starts inside the safety of its mother’s womb until fully developed to survive on its own.
Do you, who were fortunate that your mother abided by the laws of nature, want to deny the natural process of life for the sake of your own convenience?
How can it be wrong to infringe on the rights of the mother when they are infringing on the rights of their unborn child?
So isn’t the real issue here responsibility? Being responsible by using safe sex methods or practicing abstinence, and understanding the enormous responsibility of conceiving a child, carrying it to full term, and realizing how it will dramatically change your life whether you choose to raise it yourself or give it up for adoption.
Who doesn’t have sex without knowing that is how babies are born? Yet it’s treated in a careless and disrespectful way that assumes we don’t have to take responsibility for any unexpected consequences. Not only do we instinctively know what the outcome of sex can bring, by now we have come to know that irresponsibility can also cause sexual diseases, and that’s a consequence you can’t change, you have no choice but to accept it and deal with it. But when a woman becomes pregnant, she has the option not to deal with it through having an abortion instead of offering her child up for adoption.
When we drive in our cars, we have rules to keep us safe, and we are responsible to abide by them, otherwise we can suffer the consequences, whether getting a speeding ticket, causing an accident, or even death.
Most people do not have a problem with abiding by these rules. Why wouldn’t they do the same when it comes to being responsible with sexual activity? Nobody can force a person to abide by the rules for safe driving, and no one can force a person to abide by the responsibility in their outlook on sex, but if they will choose not to be responsible, then the consequences are inevitable.
Understanding your responsibility when it comes to having sex would mean that you have the right to do what you want with your body up until the moment you conceive another life that is entitled to have its own right to life.
Always a Baby

6-23-19 Why is it that when it’s a wanted pregnancy, it’s a baby, and when it’s not wanted, it’s just a blob of cells? Of all places, a family planning (health) center should be the last place to be so schizophrenic on this crucial health information. Whether a woman has a right to do whatever she wants with her body, she most definitely has the right to know the true facts about fetal development and abortion, and to be informed of the psychological consequences.
There is no denying that everyone has some kind of standard of morals, whether they be Godly or of their own making. To deny the facts only to be realized after an abortion can be traumatizing, leaving you feeling betrayed and stripped of dignity for being taken advantage of in a vulnerable circumstance. It’s as if you were being betrayed by someone you trusted.
There is a need to separate our emotions concerning the issue of the government not telling us what to do with our bodies, and having respect for the life that grows inside a mother’s womb.
Is the government trying to control your life by making abortion illegal or is it supporting the rights of a fetus whom the mother wants to deny so she can murder it?
How can we legally deny the fetus its rights and how can we legally murder a living fetus? I don’t want the government to tell me what to do with my body, or my failed marriage in the consequences of a divorce for that matter, but when there is another life involved, justice demands action.
How can abortion and “planned parenthood” co-exist? Are women being taught alternatives to abortion, birth control, abstinence, mother’s homes for pregnant teens, job training, adoption, or after birth support?
It just seems like this misguided issue of rights has hardened the hearts of women to be insensitive to do something horrific against her maternal instinct. Has the interest of self-importance in the name of women’s rights deceived women into thinking they are solitarily irresponsible and unaccountable for what is a proven fact that life starts at conception? The miracle of life is a beautiful, amazing phenomenon, isn’t it? Why isn’t there more emphasis on a woman having a right to do whatever she wants with her body before she has sex, knowing that if she gets an unwanted pregnancy, she legally has to bring her child to full term?

The government is established by the people and for the people – it’s for equal rights and liberty for all, so how can that be true if there is no right to life for the unborn?
Yes, a woman has a right to do whatever she wants with her body, but do you want to take that as far as to forsake your own humanity by denying your maternal instincts that are undeniable? There are many women who suffer from the consequences of denying this and realizing the truth too late.
But of course this is just a fantasy, because if family planning clinics provided the true facts about fetal development and the consequences that can occur from an abortion, and the many provisions and services provided to bring an unwanted pregnancy to full term, safely to birth, then abortion would have to become illegal, because there would be no excuse for the mother not to bring her baby to full term.
Pro-Choice

8-8-05 What if abortion was illegal? They are concerned about the dangerous alternatives a woman will resort to in order to end her pregnancy, possibly ending the mother’s life as a result.
Yet, isn’t there any other alternative to abortion? If it was illegal, wouldn’t you desperately campaign to promote abstinence, safe sex, and adoption? The world uses their idols, famous people, to influence people to help in every other human cause. Why not abstinence? What does this expose about the world? That it is unwilling to call promiscuity for what it is and acknowledge the consequences it bears, therefore, it is really saying it is unwilling to be responsible and be accountable for its action.
If they took sex and promiscuity out of the media, many people would be out of business. Can you imagine a rock band not promoting sex; or the clothing and movie industry?
In the summer of 2005, the Live-8 conference was put together in world record time, broadcast globally, with more than three billion people watching the event. The aim of the concerts was to raise awareness of poverty in developing nations prior to the G8 summit, which took place in Scotland on July 6. Bob Geldof, the organizer, said “These concerts are the start point for The Long Walk To Justice, the one way we can all make our voices heard in unison.”
They volunteered because they cared. Imagine them doing that to promote abstinence to save millions of human lives.
When Sorrow Comes

10-13-01 When you’ve been morally convicted that the abortion you had was a sin in God’s eyes, it’s ok to cry and cry and cry over it, let it all out. It’s a terrible rude awakening that can only be faced by knowing the Judge who is convicting you is also the author of love. It is for sins such as this that He died on a cross for you to set you free from the domain of Satan. We must accept the existence of Satan and understand that the whole world is subject to his evil influence (1 Jn. 5:19); and how we are responsible for this through our inherited fallen nature from Adam and Eve when they made the fatal choice to rebel and disobey God in the Garden of Eden. Otherwise, the sacrificial death of Jesus was in vain. In order to receive true healing we must accept the responsibility for our actions.
Our sense of conviction and remorse is sheer evidence that we were not meant to live independent of God. No matter how good and well-meaning we are, we cannot escape the persuasion of the demonically tainted world system (Is. 5:20-21; Rom. 7:14-20). Millions of women are deceived into thinking abortion is acceptable and the right thing to do if her pregnancy is an inconvenience. It is not until after she has aborted her child that she may realize the failure of being informed of the effect this would have on her moral conscience… a profound inner sense of the sorrow of God for her and her baby that was drowned out before she aborted by all the noise of her anxiety, fears, and pressure from others; and by believing what she wanted to believe to relieve her of all of this – the easy way out. But now that the damage is done, you suddenly find yourself face to face with God, and this can be a negative experience if you don’t know the true, loving, forgiving character of God. In my personal experience I was fading away in denial from believing the lie that God had forsaken me. I eventually became desperate and realized I had nothing to lose by placing myself at the mercy of God and with all my heart search to know Him for who He truly is. It is a rude awakening when you realize you let Satan influence whatever decisions you made that were more important than your maternal instinct of knowing you had a precious living baby growing inside of you. When confronted with the Holiness of God’s light, denial is not the way out. You must face the deep, dark gruesome reality that you were responsible for ending the life of your own baby, your very own flesh and blood.
Yes, someone like you did such a horrible thing. It’s enough to make you go into shock. We were given a free will, and we chose to be our own gods, resulting in Satan as our mentor (Genesis chapter 3). Through the experience of the gruesome act of having an abortion we have tasted the bitterness of this wayward decision, which leads to only death, both physical of the baby, and spiritual of the mother. How can you trust God for allowing you to do such a thing? How can you trust yourself? Sin is death. Sin is separation from God. He provided a way out of the darkness and into the light by taking the penalty of sin upon Himself, through His Son Jesus Christ. That’s how much He loves us.
Are we going to continue in denial or accept the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ?

What options do I have if I’m pregnant?
If you are pregnant, you can choose to have the baby or get an abortion. If you decide to have the baby, there are several parenting options to consider, including being a single mom, co-parenting with the baby’s father, or adoption. If you choose abortion, there are potential risks and complications (emotional, relational, and physical) that you should consider before making a final decision. Want to explore all your options? Post-Abortion resources:

We help men, women and churches connect with restorative ministry.
There are many excellent approaches to abortion recovery ministry; in person and online, one-on-one and group studies, private counseling, and weekend retreats. We help find Christ-centered, Bible-based ministry close to where people live or work. Pairing the individual with ministry that works with their schedule works best.
We offer restorative abortion recovery testimony and talks.
Throughout the testimonies we highlight the aftermath of abortion, God’s power to heal and restore, and the need to be intentional about seeking healing. Post-abortion trauma is real. Most have never spoken with another living soul about their abortion experience, not knowing who they can trust, or whether there is help for this hurt. The post-abortive person can often feel beyond repair. Our heart’s desire is to see those captives held in the dark wound of abortion be set free, to come out of hiding and receive restorative ministry.

The Stacy Zallie Foundation’s mission is to facilitate the well-being and happiness of women who have undergone an abortion.
The Stacy Zallie Foundation is dedicated to our daughter, Stacy Zallie. At age 20 our beautiful daughter, was the victim of a coerced abortion which violated her personal, moral, and spiritual beliefs.
…We are convinced that if Stacy had been better informed about what she might expect following the abortion (physically and/or emotionally) and if she had been able to share her grief in a safe, supportive environment, she would be with us today. In her memory, The Stacy Zallie Foundation and Post-Abortion Comfort Portal provides help after an abortion, including information and resources to anyone grieving or in pain as the result of abortion.

You are not alone. You are not hopeless. God wants to heal you. SaveOne can help. SaveOne is a life-saving and life-changing ministry. We are dedicated to helping men, women, and loved ones recover spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, after the choice of abortion.
Almost the entire global staff of SaveOne has chosen abortion at least once in their lives. Through this choice, and subsequent restoration this incredible staff wants to see others encounter the same healing they have experienced. When God does something so miraculous in a person’s life, it’s hard to not want others to experience it as well.

Students Rights
Prior to 1972, most schools across the U.S. had little to no policies in place regarding the rights of pregnant and parenting students on campus. There were no guidelines that help to regulate how many credit hours pregnant or parenting students are able to miss, help secure scholarships awarded to students who later become pregnant, or allow pregnant and parenting students to make up coursework they may have missed. In 1972, Title IX was passed to help curtail sex discrimination and, thankfully, a margin of this legislation is allotted to help curtail discrimination against pregnant women.
Title IX ensures that any school (e.g. high school) or university that receives federal funding cannot discriminate against students who are pregnant and/or parenting. This means that all schools must give pregnant and parenting students the same access to school programs and educational opportunities that are available to other students. It also means professors and administrators cannot influence pregnant or parenting students to alter their educational plans due to their added responsibilities.
In the interest of presenting young women with ALL of their options, especially those guaranteed her by law, we have created the Pregnant on Campus Bill of Rights. If the following applies to you or someone you know, please contact the National Supportive Services Director for assistance. You should never have to choose between your child and your dreams and now, you don’t have to!

Get Involved
The issue isn’t the darkness… it is the absence of the light of Christ.
Love life is uniting and mobilizing the church to create a culture of love and life that will result in an end to abortion and the orphan crisis.
God is using love life to awaken the church. This isn’t pro-life activism it is Christianity 101. It is loving our neighbor as we love ourselves. Whole families are being moved from inside the four walls of the church into the frontlines of the mission field in their cities.
